Last week I had the privilege of taking photos of the Goosen family. Grandmother Roan travelled from South Africa to join the family for a week weeks. The family wanted to capture the fall leaves and their love for each other. In the very last minute we decided to move the shoot ahead by one day as it was supposed to rain on our original date. Unfortunately, the skies darkened on our new date as well. As I drove to the photoshoot the wind was picking up and it looked like it was sure going to open up and rain on our photo parade.
We ended up switching locations to a more closed in location with less wind further into the community. Not only was the wind lighter in the new location, but the sun decided to come out and give everything a nice even glow. It pays to be flexible! The family loves their photos and I loved having the chance to take them.
